God Sees Only Our Potential
So often we look at ourselves and see only our failures.
God looks at us and sees only our potential.
I don't know about you, but I like God's view better!

Thank you, Nan, for this sweet and gentle reminder. These are wonderful words to think upon today.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Stephanie
Hugs to you too!
DeleteI like His view better too, Nan! Your post is a nice way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think that's the way we see our children, although imperfectly compared to God. Why is it so much more difficult to see ourselves that way?
I know what you mean. Sometimes it seems so much easier to extend grace to other people than to extend it to ourselves.
DeleteThat is me....seeing all my failures!! I like God's perspective best!!
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteCouldn't agree more...which makes you wonder just why we are so critical of ourselves?
ReplyDeleteI've been known to wake up in the middle of the night thinking about what I should NOT put off!! Good reminder...I think I will work on cleaning my files out today (later today, LOL)
ReplyDeleteHello Nan! I found you through my daughter Stephanie "theenchantingrose" You have a precious blog that I look forward to visiting more often. I do not have a blog, but sure have enjoyed many wonderful blogs and just precious, precious ladies such as yourself.
ReplyDeleteI appreciated this post. Words of wisdom to think on. I like God's way the best!
The Lord bless you!
Hi Debbie! I already love your sweet daughter, Stephanie, so I am sure I will love you too!
DeleteYes, I like God's way best too, however some times His way hurts a bit (like this morning, lol!) but it's all for our good and His glory, right?
My sweet Stephanie is not hard to love. Enjoy her!
DeleteYes, sometimes God's ways have a way of hurting, but my how they are for our good in growing us up in the Lord. But God is gracious, and gentle with us. Praise the Lord!
So nice to meet you Nan!
Blessings to you!
I am! You did a good job raising her! :) Yes, sometimes our deepest, most meaningful growth can be during those difficult times when it's just us and God.
DeleteI remember when my kids had "growing pains" and sometimes we believers get them too, lol! So nice to meet you too, my friend! Look forward to more chatting! :)
Thank you for your kind words. Stephanie was a delight to raise!
DeleteThose "growing pains" never really come to an end do they? But when we see Christ... Oh glorious day!!!
The Lord bless you!
