See this toy? If you look carefully you will notice that it is covered with dog hair.

This is why. Our beagle, Max, loves this toy. They're best buds. Many times when we leave the house we come home to find Max on his bed, with the toy sitting next to him. Max just likes to have it around, I guess. He doesn't chew on it.

Which is good, because Max doesn't always make wise culinary choices. Sometimes he walks around with it in his mouth. He has issues.

The problem? Four pounds of lean, mean, stealing machine. Kenzie loves to take our socks (note picture) and also loves to take the toy from Max. Sibling rivalry, don't you love it? "Haha, I win!"

I wish you could hear the sound effects as Max wanders through the house whining and Kenzie chases after him barking. It's enough to give you a headache.

"You did NOT just take it from me you pint sized diva. Ha, take that. I got it back!"

"Oh yeah? Think again, buddy."

Max attempts to hide and look pathetic, playing the sympathy card.

Apparently, some dogs could care less. Not only has she taken his toy, she has taken over his bed too. I think Max wishes he were an only "child" again. Kenzie doesn't care. She's cute and she knows it, but cute will only get you so far in life.

However, diligence is often rewarded and in this instance, Max gives up. Peace once again reigns in the household.
